BEFORE THE COACHING.
Full-time warehouse work. Fast food. Retail. Anything to pay the bills. Zero passion, zero serving others. I want to be honest about that because most trainer bios skip this part. They start at the certification. I want to start at the shift.
Warehouse work teaches you two things quickly: how to move something heavy without wrecking your back, and how much of a full-time job is just showing up. When I finally moved into coaching, both of those translated. The first became the way I teach hinge patterns. The second became the entire method.
THE DECISION MOMENT.
The switch happened when I realized coaching aligned with my life, beliefs, and goals — not the other way around. I wasn't going to build a life around the job. I was going to build the job around the life I already wanted.
That reframe changed the kind of coach I became. I don't sell you the fantasy version of your life. I coach the version of you that's already showing up to a job, a marriage, a kid pickup, and trying to squeeze training into the corners. The corners are the program.
THE CONFIRMATION.
The transformation that confirmed the path wasn't a paid client (yet). It was a guy I've been working with on weight loss and motivation — quiet, weekly, no invoice. Watching him find the rhythm and start believing his own progress is what settled it. If it worked for him, in the messy real-life version, it would work for the people who were about to hire me.
